MySTEMI Foudation:

Improving Heart Attack Treatment and Support

Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death in Malaysia, which can be prevented with timely treatment and support. Established in 2018, the MYSTEMI Foundation aims to support heart attack patients and enhance their treatment access and quality of life.

MySTEMI Network

Hospital Sultan Idris Shah (Serdang) Primary PCI centre

Serdang Primary PCI Centre, the pioneer of the MySTEMI network, covers the largest area of the country, providing critical care for heart attack patients. It is closely connected with eight hospitals, forming a robust network for seamless patient transfer and urgent comprehensive care within 120 minutes

The Success Story

The first patient, with an inferior myocardial infarction, received primary PCI within an impressive 51 minutes, setting a remarkable precedent for efficient and effective care.

1,521 cases from 2015-2023

8 hospitals attached to Serdang PCI Centre:

1. Hospital Serdang

2. Hospital Kajang

3. Hospital Putrajaya

Timely transfer of heart attract patients

Enhancing treatment protocol

Improving patient outcomes

In late 2015, cardiologists and emergency physicians recognized service gaps for heart attack patients. They formed an alliance network scheme to enhance accessibility to primary PCI using the existing HISNET systems of care.

MySTEMI Network Achievements

MySTEMI Foundation
